Many people think they cannot afford to cut anything from their regular expenses. Yet, upon close analysis, they discover they have “spending leaks”, or expenses that zap money from their budget without them really noticing, or without adding a lot of value to their lives. These are often incidental items that seem small in the moment, but add up over time.
Gallup polls show that 2/3 of Americans, do not have a budget. In our Financial Capability class we guide people on the importance of budgeting and all the free resources available to them. We review short term and long term plans on an individual basis. These expenditure charts can be eye-opening for many.
