Melissa Auge has a lot of experience in the field of construction. She has been in residential construction for 22 years, working for a masonry subcontractor and two different General Contractors remodeling homes for investors & real estate investment trusts (REITS) in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, and Georgia. Melissa also has experience with commercial tenant improvements (TIs) and new construction projects. She joined Trellis in January of 2021 to work with our Real Estate Development (RED) team as the new Assistant Project Manager.
What She Does for Trellis
During her days, Melissa performs a variety of tasks directly related to the planning, development, and advocacy of affordable housing projects – from acquisition, through construction, to occupancy. This includes managing the construction of our Trelis@Colter townhome community in Uptown Phoenix, as well as upcoming projects like the rent-to-own units at Mission in Sunny Slope.
Favorite Trellis Moment
So far, Melissa’s favorite Trellis moments have been meeting with the buyers and the seeing the excitement in their face about their new home. Some of the stories about how Trellis has been able to help people purchase their first homes have been quite moving.
Relaxing in Nature
Melissa is an Arizona native. Originally from northern Arizona, she has been in the Valley for 23 years. Melissa still takes time to travel back north to enjoy the natural beauty of the high country.
