Thanksgiving Gratitude Came Early

Jose and Dulce Soto and their 3 children are thankful for so many things this year. Jose Soto gets up at 3 am each morning to work on commercial construction projects to support his family. After a full day on a Friday evening, he still had a smile on his face, gratitude in his heart and warm words for Trellis.  Jose and his family moved in to their 5 bedroom home in central phoenix earlier this month, after living in a 2 bedroom apartment nearby for almost 3 years. His wife Dulce, explains their surprise and joy when they realized their monthly payments for their own home with a garage and backyard would be almost the same as the monthly rent for their tiny 2 bedroom apartment. The Soto family qualified for down payment assistance from the Homewise program, which requires a house purchase in specific Phoenix zip code areas, as well as a federal grant program called WISH (Workforce Initiative Subsidy for Homeownership).

They are grateful for many aspects of this new home adventure. As a father, Jose is thankful that the children were able to stay in the same schools without disruption and he likes the visible neighborhood security due to the nearby Grand Canyon University Campus. As a mother, Dulce is happy for her spacious kitchen and modern appliances. She smiles as she talks about her favorite room being the separate dining room where the family often gathers in the evening.  When asked about his experience with the Trellis process and team, he says in Spanish “Lo mejor!” (The best!) He continued by saying”Every person helped us in each of the phases. It was noticeable that the people who work there, really care. They behave as if it was their own home they were buying.” He was very specific with his appreciation and wished to credit everyone he worked with at Trellis by name: Daniel Gonzalez, Loan Originator / Maribell Valdez, Senior Homeownership Advisor / Dalia Zepeda, Loan Processor / Helga Galan, Compliance Officer & Sales Associate.

Trellis is grateful that we can be part of such a happy ending story. Congratulations to the Soto Family.
