Trellis proudly celebrated 51 years of service with a Community Celebration at our Phoenix office July 22, welcoming partners, supporters, clients, neighbors, and community members to commemorate more than five decades of creating pathways to affordable housing and homeownership.
Since its founding in 1975, Trellis has remained committed to helping individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership while strengthening neighborhoods throughout Arizona. Over the past 51 years, Trellis has helped thousands of families build financial stability through homebuyer education, financial counseling, affordable lending, and neighborhood revitalization.
The anniversary celebration reflected that commitment to community. Guests enjoyed opportunities to connect with Trellis staff and board members, learn more about our programs and services, tour our office, and celebrate the impact that has been made possible through the support of donors, partners, volunteers, and community advocates. The event also featured lunch and remarks highlighting Trellis’ history and vision for the future. The event was sponsored by Marisol Federal Credit Union.
“Every family we serve represents more than a successful home purchase, they represent greater financial stability, stronger neighborhoods, and brighter futures,” said Brenda Lopez, President and CEO of Trellis. “As we celebrate 51 years, we are grateful for the partnerships and community support that have made this work possible and look forward to expanding our impact for generations to come.”
While the celebration honored Trellis’ legacy, it also looked ahead. As Arizona continues to face housing affordability challenges, Trellis remains dedicated to expanding access to homeownership through education, counseling, lending, and innovative community partnerships.
Today, approximately 70% of the individuals and families Trellis serves are low-to-moderate income households. Through comprehensive financial education and one-on-one guidance, Trellis equips aspiring homeowners with the knowledge and resources they need to purchase a home and build long-term wealth.
Trellis staff extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Your support, partnership, and belief in our mission continue to make homeownership possible for Arizona families.
Here’s to the next chapter of empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and opening doors to opportunity for many years to come.
