Trellis is honored to receive a $50,000 grant from Wells Fargo to support the community revitalization Miracle Mile on McDowell Road project. Victor Burrola, Community Development Officer, Wells Fargo presented Trellis with a $50,000 check at the Phoenix Community Alliance McDowell Road Revitalization Committee meeting this October.
The check presentation took place in front of the Trellis Mural that highlights the core services and mission of Trellis. “Making stable homes possible in Arizona through Learning, Lending and Building”, because “Home is where your heart is”.
Trellis, LISC Phoenix and PCA have partnered to improve the appearance along McDowell road from 7th street to Interstate 51. Currently McDowell Road is an arterial road that many in the Phoenix Valley use to move quickly across town without noticing the many unique small businesses. The future of McDowell Road is a destination rebranded as the Miracle Mile on McDowell where neighbors meet to shop, eat and relax.
