Maribell Valdez is a homeownership advisor and specialist in foreclosure intervention who joined Trellis back in October of 2012. For over seven years, she has been providing guidance to Trellis clients with regard to the journey to homeownership (https://www.trellisaz.org/education/). Maribell counsels and educates not only potential homeowners, but those in risk of foreclosure, about credit assessment, down payment program assistance assessment, and budgeting.
With too many wonderful interactions with Trellis clients to select just one, Maribell’s passion for helping others shines through when she states, “I really love seeing clients receive the keys to their home. It is especially heartwarming when some of my clients never thought homeownership was for them.”
Maribell says that she is dealing with the current COVID-19 crisis in two ways. Professionally, she is making sure that she is still available and accommodating to her coworkers and clients. On the personal side, Maribell says that staying busy and keeping positive are her keys for getting through this situation.
Although Maribell is a star in the Trellis office, she once had her own brush with fame. When she was 13 years old, she met comedian Paul Rodriguez at a festival. He autographed an item of clothing for her that she had bought there.
