Community building and engagement is one of our core strengths here at Trellis!
Community Building and Engagement

Trellis resident engagement work is based on the Community Building and Engagement Program created by Neighborworks America. Trellis provides direct Economic Development support to local owned microbusinesses, anti-displacement efforts, & leadership training programs for residents.

Building healthy communities
We’re not just building homes, we’re also building communities. In order for neighborhoods to thrive, local businesses and residents need to support each other. Trellis participates in the many community building programs offered through our partners at NeighborWorks America to combine both national expertise with local initiative.
Getting involved in your community

There are many ways to get involved in your community for the benefit of both residents and local businesses. Resident-driven approaches include:
- Support local businesses, which provides jobs and enables residents to shop and conduct business in their own neighborhoods.
- Join your local neighborhood association and attend meetings.
- Volunteer at your local schools or public libraries.
- Research local nonprofits and see how you can help.
- Participate in or organize local events.

The economic impact on our local community over the years has been substantial.
