Those people who have gone through Trellis Lending to purchase a home have interacted with Dean Begay. Dean is the Loan Closer for Trellis Lending and handles the loan servicing with compliance reporting.
Helping those in the Community
Dean has been with Trellis since March of 2019. During this time, his favorite moments include working to close and fund home purchases in the Garfield District of Phoenix. These were houses that were built by Trellis in the historic neighborhood just a few block away from the Trellis office. Dean appreciates that these homes were purchased by under-served members of the community who went through all the financial training that Trellis offers. In his words, Dean felt like he was “helping the little guy.”
Keeping Busy During Quarantine
During this COVID-19 situation, Dean has been keeping busy by exercising, doing mechanical work on cars, and delivering food to family members who live in northern Arizona. Dean also spends a lot of time with his kids, teaching them life skills that he learned growing up. These include an array of self-help skills and all the amazing things that can be done with a roll of duct tape.
